Final Project Proposal

My passion before coming to school was painting. However with my foundation classes, I haven't had the time to devote to this hobby. Thus for my final time arts project, I want to take the opportunity to paint again. At the same time, I do want to incorporate some multimedia aspects.

MY BIG IDEA would incorporate:

- painting
- stop motion

The story line:
- Video clip of me painting a certain image which would be a still life of objects, possibly a collection of junk food and candy.
- Then the images would pop out from the canvas and move off the canvas leaving a blank space. ( stop motion )

Process:
I think i would have to do this whole project in reverse.
- Stop motion the specific object moving onto the canvas.
- Once it is in position take the object off and film me painting the object.
- Then i would compile all my video in order and after make the animation video.

So in my final compilation, it would be a blank canvas to a painting back to a blank canvas.

Through discussion with peers, they suggested that I did the whole thing through pictures. For instance, if I was doing a soda can, I can first paint a red shape, take a picture, add value then take a picture, make individual letters, then take a picture. In the end, my whole video would be stop motion and it would be complete detached of human interaction.
